Safefunds.com takes the privacy of your personal information
seriously. We will use your information in accordance
with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We will not sell
or rent your personally identifiable information or a
list of our customers to third parties.
We store and process your information on our computers
in the United States. If you object to your personal
information being transferred or used as described in
this Privacy Policy, please do not register to become
a Safefunds member.
Safefunds.com takes information security seriously and
uses reasonable and business-like measures to protect
your member information from unauthorized access. We
use Secure Sockets Layering, an industry-standard protocol
for your financial information transmissions to us, in
order to encrypt the information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality
of your member information and for restricting access
to your computer through which you access your Safefunds
account. Users of public or shared computers need to
be aware that such devices and web browsers may store
or “cache” confidential information. Safefunds.com
is not responsible for failure of any member to remove
all confidential information from the computer being
used after terminating a Safefunds session.
Because no security system can be guaranteed to be 100%
secure; we cannot guarantee the security of your member
information and cannot assume liability for improper
access to it. By using our Web site, or providing personal
information to us through any means, you agree that we
can communicate with you electronically regarding security,
privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use
of this site.
Notification of Changes
This policy may be revised over time. If we plan to materially
alter our privacy policy and you are an active account
holder, we will provide you, by posting on our site, at
least 10 days' notice of the amended Privacy Policy.
Children are not eligible to become members. Minors
(under the age of 18) should not submit any personal
information to us.
Required Information
To open a Safefunds account, you must provide your name,
address, phone number, and e-mail address. We also ask
you to choose two different security questions to answer
(such as your city of birth or your pet's name) This
required information is necessary for us to process transactions,
issue a new password if you forget or lose your password,
protect you from fraud and to contact you.
In order to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, we may
require a photo id, address verification, and
your Tax Identification Number if you send
or receive certain high-value transactions or high overall
payment volumes through Safefunds.
Transaction Information
When you use Safefunds for a transaction we maintain
all generations of the transaction activity. We also
maintain information about the Internet conversation
itself for purposes of helping secure the activity.
We only maintain the information you provide us. We do
not seek any information about you from any third party
sources.
Web Site Traffic Information
When you arrive at the Safefunds Web site, we automatically
receive the Web address of the site from which you
came. We DO NOT maintain that information for you as
an individual. We reserve the right to maintain summary
information for use in relationships with other companies.
Once we have processed the detail information, it is
removed from our system.
Our Use of "Cookies"
Cookies are small files of data that reside on your computer
and allow web sites to track a variety of information
about you. We only use cookies to allow you to store
your Private ID and other information on your own system
to save you time in entering information. We do NOT
use tracking cookies to monitor your activity and we
place no cookies automatically. You always have a clear
opportunity to store or refuse to store information
on your system. We never share cookie information with
other firms.
Customer Service Correspondence
If you send us correspondence, we retain such information
in the records of your account. We will also retain customer
service correspondence to you. We retain these records
in order to measure and improve our customer service,
and to investigate potential fraud and violations of
our Terms of Service. We may, over time, delete these
